More than 90 percent Chinese people feel "safe" or "basically safe" for the current social safety environment. 34.51 percent surveyed choose the option "safe" on the questionnaire, up 1.71 percent than 2003, the State Statistics Bureau's 4th national survey on people's feeling of safety said.
The survey began in Nov 2004. A total of 102,309 families from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across China are surveyed.
